Sane Guns is dedicated to providing a safe, sane and sensible approach to gun control, based on education, enforcement, licensing, registration and responsibility. To this end, we have attempted to address the various issues affecting gun control in an objective manner, organized as follows:

Crime and Guns
A discussion about the role guns play in facilitating crime and in preventing it. In addition to data on crime, there is information about the studies conducted -- and the limitations of those studies.
Suicides and Accidents
While the the effects of gun on crime tends to get the greatest attention, the greatest loss of life from firearms in this country is actually suicide. This section looks at the role guns play in suicides and accidents (a distant third) in the United States.
The Gun Lobby
A discussion of the gun industry and the pro-gun advocacy groups (of which the National Rifle Association is the largest). This section also looks at many of the distortions being propogated by this group and some of the recent events within this group.
